Itinerary
Day 1 of 5
Arrival in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha)
- Activity: Airport pickup and trip briefing.
- Accommodations: Mount Meru Game Lodge (or similar comfort lodge in Arusha).
- The Daily Story: Welcome to Tanzania. Our driver will meet you right outside the arrivals terminal at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), help you load your bags into our private 4×4 vehicle, and drive you to your lodge in Arusha. Tonight, you can settle in, shake off the jet lag, enjoy a hot meal, and get a good night’s rest before the safari starts tomorrow morning.
Day 2 of 5
Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park (Via Ngorongoro)
- Activity: Travel day with an afternoon game drive.
- Accommodations: Seronera Wildlife Lodge / Premium Tented Camp.
- The Daily Story: We pick you up early from your hotel to begin the journey to the world-famous Serengeti. We will drive through the beautiful highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for a picnic lunch at the Naabi Hill gate—the official entrance to the Serengeti plains. From there, we open the pop-up roof of the Land Cruiser for your first official afternoon game drive, tracking lions, leopards, and giant herds on our way to the lodge for dinner.
Day 3 of 5
Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
- Activity: Sunrise game drive and local Maasai cultural visit.
- Accommodations: Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge / Crater Rim Lodge.
- The Daily Story: Wake up at dawn for a sunrise game drive. This is the absolute best time to see big cats like lions and cheetahs out on the hunt before the sun gets too hot. After a mid-morning brunch back at camp, we pack up and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, we stop at an authentic Maasai Boma (village) to meet the community, see their traditional dances, and learn about their way of life in the bush. Tonight, we sleep at a lodge sitting directly on the rim of the crater.
Day 4 of 5
Ngorongoro Crater Floor to Arusha
- Activity: Full-day crater tour and return drive.
- Accommodations: Mount Meru Game Lodge (Arusha).
- The Daily Story: After an early breakfast, we descend 600 meters down into the volcanic caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater. Because of its enclosed walls, the wildlife here is incredibly dense. We will spend the morning tracking the endangered Black Rhino, large elephant bulls, and massive prides of lions. We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before driving back up the crater walls and making our way back to Arusha for a relaxing final evening.
Day 5 of 5
Departure Day (Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport)
- Activity: Departure transfer.
- The Daily Story: Today marks the end of your safari with us. Standard checkout at the lodge is at 10:00 AM. Depending on your flight schedule out of Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), our driver will pick you up from the hotel and ensure you reach the airport with plenty of time for check-in. If you have an evening flight and want to book a day room to rest before you fly, just let us know during booking and we will arrange it.
